Description For System (Safety) Engineer

Auria is seeking a System Engineer (Safety) to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program in Colorado Springs, CO. The C2BMC program is a vital component of the Missile Defense System, enabling high-level military and government officials to manage ballistic missile defense operations.

The role involves managing an on-site engineering team and developing comprehensive safety plans while ensuring compliance with military standards. You'll be responsible for integrating product lines, generating capability specifications, and serving as a technical interface with MDA counterparts.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in System Engineering with a focus on System and Software Safety, holding a current SECRET security clearance.   • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline with 5 years experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year, or 9 years experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Strong System Engineering background with specialization in System and Software Safety
  • Experience analyzing design for safety requirements
  • Experience developing safety documents (SAR, SRA, SSPP)
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
