Description For DevOps Engineer

Avero, a leading technology partner in the hospitality industry serving 40,000+ professionals, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for their Product Operations team. This 100% remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, supporting the company's mission to transform hospitality businesses.

The role demands a skilled DevOps professional with 5+ years of experience who will be instrumental in managing and automating cloud infrastructure using AWS services, supporting on-premises systems, and driving the migration to cloud-based microservices. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Python, Java, Docker, Terraform, and various database systems while following an Everything-as-Code philosophy.

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining both AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems, creating custom solutions, implementing monitoring systems, and participating in on-call rotations. The position offers significant technical challenges and growth opportunities, working with a diverse technology stack including containerization, infrastructure as code, and various database technologies.

Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer

  • Build and maintain Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure as code
  • Support on-premises hardware and software infrastructure
  • Build and maintain custom solutions including HTTP file servers and internal APIs
  • Support migration of on-premises monolithic application to cloud-based microservices
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems
  • Participate in on-call pager rotation
  • Champion operational excellence
  • Provide technical support to team members
  • Participate in code reviews

Requirements For DevOps Engineer
