Data Engineer

Awin, established in 2000, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Services department. This role is crucial in leveraging data across the group to improve commercial decisions and campaign management. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for collecting, sanitizing, transforming, and consolidating data from various sources, making it available for analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleansing and preprocessing raw text data
• Analyzing text corpora, including customer support history and company knowledge base
• Extracting actionable insights for project development
• Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity
• Assisting in indexing and vectorizing text data
• Collaborating with data scientists on embedding methods and machine learning requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, or Computer Science
• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Strong foundation in computer science principles and statistical methods
• Experience with cloud technology (AWS or Azure)
• Expertise in big data tools like Spark, Databricks, and Python
• Familiarity with NLP concepts and machine learning techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
