Description For Controls Engineer, Australia & New Zealand Controls Deployment and Service

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS's global infrastructure, specifically focusing on the deployment and servicing of control systems that monitor and ensure data center health.

The position involves working with cutting-edge building automation systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). You'll be responsible for deploying new systems in data center builds, upgrading existing facilities, and providing critical support to ensure continuous operation.

As a Controls Engineer, you'll collaborate with diverse teams across AWS, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, and Engineering teams. You'll manage vendor relationships and ensure minimal defects during Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO).

Responsibilities For Controls Engineer, Australia & New Zealand Controls Deployment and Service

  • Deploy data center controls with effective vendor management
  • Deliver critical projects to upgrade data center automation
  • Provide service and support for Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), and other operational events
  • Resolve tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Deliver initiatives to improve data center efficiency
  • Oversee deployment of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
  • Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, and other teams

Requirements For Controls Engineer, Australia & New Zealand Controls Deployment and Service

  • Control systems experience including building unified automated control systems
  • Programming experience including PLC, SCADA, Codesys, Python, or other scripted programming languages
  • Engineering documentation experience including electrical diagrams, control diagrams, control networks schematics
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with peers around the globe
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically or globally as needed
