The Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Team plays a crucial role in maintaining AWS's critical facility infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 operational excellence.

As a DCEO Engineer, you'll join a diverse team working on complex infrastructure challenges that directly impact millions of AWS customers. You'll be responsible for maintaining high infrastructure availability, conducting risk assessments, and executing maintenance of critical systems including power, cooling, and monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, DCEO

  • Serve as primary business interface with Colocation provider's technical and facility teams
  • Supervise on-site Colocation providers and contractors
  • Manage routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems
  • Generate change management requests & incident management tickets
  • Engage in on-call responsibilities and respond to emergency situations
  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues
  • Establish comprehensive English documentation
  • Maintain accurate Data Center infrastructure inventory
  • Lead new build and expansion projects
  • Assist in internal recruitment and onboarding

Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, DCEO

Linux
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in engineering-related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in facility management
  • Proficient in mechanical systems (CRAC/CRAH, AHU, chillers, etc.) OR electrical systems
  • Experience in major facilities incident management
  • Bilingual verbal and technical written communication skills (English and Chinese)
  • TOEIC 650+ or equivalent
  • Deep attention to details and accuracy
