Description For Technical Account Manager

AWS Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a crucial role combining technical expertise with customer advocacy. As a TAM, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for Enterprise Support customers, helping them maximize their AWS investment. The role requires deep technical knowledge of cloud computing, strong communication skills, and the ability to build strategic relationships.

You'll work with some of the most innovative companies, from emerging startups to large enterprises, providing architectural guidance, support strategy, and operational excellence. The position demands expertise in various technical domains including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.

The role offers significant growth opportunities within AWS's rapidly expanding EMEA region. You'll collaborate with talented cloud professionals, expand your AWS knowledge, and have access to certification and mentorship programs. Responsibilities For Technical Account Manager

  • Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Consult with partners from developers through to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and other enablement sessions

  • Experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Architect
  • Understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting for compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, applications development
  • Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience
  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer obsessed mindset
