AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their Enterprise Support team in Singapore. This role combines technical expertise with customer relationship management to help organizations maximize their AWS cloud investment.

As a Technical Account Manager, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to some of the most innovative businesses in the region, from ambitious startups to large enterprises undergoing digital transformation. You'll provide strategic guidance on architecture, support planning, and operational excellence while building deep relationships with technical and business stakeholders.

The role requires a strong technical foundation with at least 5 years of engineering experience and expertise in cloud technologies. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in areas such as compute, storage, networking, databases, and distributed systems. Your technical knowledge will be crucial in helping customers optimize their AWS environments, reduce costs, and maintain operational health.

Beyond technical skills, success in this role requires excellent communication and consulting abilities. Responsibilities For Technical Account Manager, Enterprise Support

  • Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
  • Consult with partners from developers through to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, detailed prelaunch planning
  • Provide post-sales, consultative expertise
  • Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions

Requirements For Technical Account Manager, Enterprise Support

Kubernetes

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three of: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings (preferred)
  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead (preferred)
  • Experience as a technical account manager, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect or similar role (preferred)
