(Italy based) Senior R&D Engineer - System Architecture

Axelera AI, a rapidly growing deep-tech startup with $120M in funding, is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer focused on System Architecture. The company, with 180+ employees including 55+ PhDs, is creating the next-generation AI platform through their Metis™ AI Platform, achieving 3-5x increase in efficiency and performance.

The role is within the R&D System Architecture team, focusing on memory design, networking, and system integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing hardware architecture for AI acceleration platforms, working with memory management, dataflow, and networking infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include architecting next-gen AI Accelerators, building and validating architectural models, creating specifications, and performing evaluation tests. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and contribution to intellectual property through patents and publications.

The successful candidate should have an advanced degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, strong programming skills, and experience in both hardware and software development.
