Description For Principal Engineer - Advanced Electronics Product Design Lead

Axelera AI, a pioneering deep-tech startup with $120M in funding, is revolutionizing the AI platform landscape. With a world-class team of 180+ employees including 55+ PhDs across multiple countries, we're developing the Metis™ AI Platform that achieves 3-5x increase in efficiency and performance.

As our Principal Engineer - Product Design Lead, you'll spearhead the development of cutting-edge electronics products, combining technical leadership with hands-on design expertise. You'll manage end-to-end product development, from concept to production, while coordinating cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and mechanical engineering.

The role demands 15+ years of experience in electronics product design, deep technical knowledge, and strong project management skills. You'll work with state-of-the-art design tools and technologies, including ARM and x86-based architectures. Your responsibilities span from technical leadership and mentorship to ensuring product excellence and innovation.

  • 15+ years of experience in electronics product design
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in electronics design principles
  • Proficiency with design and simulation tools
  • Experience in ARM and x86-based architectures
  • Project management skills and PMO certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
