Senior R&D Engineer - Compiler Technology

Axelera AI is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer specializing in Compiler Technology to join their System Architecture team. This role involves designing, architecting, and implementing Axelera's experimental, forward-looking Neural Network compiler and integrating it into the commercial Software Development Kit (SDK).

Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the design and implementation of Axelera's next-gen neural network compiler
• Engaging in cutting-edge research for new methodologies and compiler features
• Integrating compiler features into the commercial SDK
• Performing performance evaluation and benchmarking of state-of-the-art neural networks
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical concepts
• Contributing to the company's intellectual property through patents, whitepapers, and publications

Requirements:

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of Neural Networks, especially CNNs and transformers for Computer Vision and Sequence Modeling
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience in software development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with compiler technology (e.g., Tensorflow XLA, TVM, MLIR, Glow)
• Knowledge of computer architectures (CPU, GPU, AI accelerators) and SoC architecture
• Track record of innovative contributions in AI/ML projects or research
