This role combines technical expertise in AI, computer vision, and embedded systems with customer-facing responsibilities. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technology while managing technical interactions with customers across the West Coast, Midwest, and Great Lakes regions.

The role involves working with Axelera's Metis™ AI Platform, which delivers 3-5x improvement in efficiency and performance. As a Field Application Engineer, you'll be instrumental in guiding customers through the evaluation, adoption, and deployment of Axelera AI hardware, including PCIe boards, modules, and vision gateways. The position requires expertise in using the Voyager SDK for AI model deployment and pipeline implementation.

Responsibilities For US Field Application Engineer (West Coast/Midwest/Great Lakes)

  • Engage with customers as technical expert on Axelera AI's platform
  • Address inquiries and resolve technical issues
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development on product launches
  • Support Sales in expanding accounts and identifying new customers
  • Track customer interactions and ensure follow-ups
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to Product Management
  • Conduct competitive analysis
  • Create product documentation
  • Guide customers through evaluation and deployment of AI hardware
  • Work with Voyager SDK to deploy AI models and pipelines

Requirements For US Field Application Engineer (West Coast/Midwest/Great Lakes)

Python
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in semiconductor and/or AI industry in customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Programming experience in Python, C/C++, OpenCL, CUDA
  • Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Understanding of embedded systems
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
