Description For Field Deployment Engineer, Fleet

At Axon, we're on a mission to Protect Life. We're explorers, pursuing society's most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. This is a post-sale, customer-facing, front-line role with primary duties of deploying network, hardware, and software solutions for Axon's Fleet solutions. The Field Deployment Engineer will be responsible for implementing and deploying Axon's Fleet products, training customers, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer coordination and execution of field commissioning tests
  • Deliver timely and detailed project deployment reports
  • Assist clients in monitoring software implementation lifecycles
  • Create accurate network diagrams and documentation
  • Engage with technology decision-makers and program managers
  • Train customer staff and contractors on Axon Fleet components and products

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of advanced computer network implementation experience
  • Understanding of 12-volt electronics and DC circuit theory
  • Cradlepoint router configuration and deployment knowledge
  • Familiarity with data transfer concepts and IP-based Ethernet networks
  • Ability to work independently and travel 100% (Monday-Friday)
  • Reside in the Midwest or specified states (Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, Wisconsin)

This role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $110,000, depending on the geographic market, along with benefits such as 401k with employer match, paid time off, parental leave, health insurance, and learning & development programs.
