As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will be part of a critical team that ensures life-saving technology can be manufactured reliably and consistently. You will work with a team of talented manufacturing engineers to support the equipment, processes and personnel in our Scottsdale manufacturing facility for Axon's De-Escalation Devices & accessories.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the development of manufacturing processes that meet cost, ergonomics, quality, and cycle time targets
  • Providing prompt support to the production lines in response to process or equipment needs
  • Researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
  • Providing engineering guidance to technicians, trainers, and production leads
  • Researching, evaluating, and selecting manufacturing equipment, robotics, and automation technologies as needed to support production targets
  • Partnering with Quality, R&D, Product, and Automation teams to ensure production outputs meet product and customer specifications
  • Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, process flowcharts, and technical manuals for all automation processes

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience. You should have knowledge of common manufacturing methods, experience with high-volume automated processes, strong problem-solving ability, and the ability to create clear, comprehensive, and concise documentation. The ability to lead Root Cause Analysis investigations using industry-standard methodologies is also important.

Axon offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $80,000 to $120,000 USD, depending on the geographic market.
