Description For QA Engineer - Real-Time Operations

Axon is on a mission to Protect Life through innovative technology solutions for public safety and law enforcement. The Real-Time Operations (RTO) team is seeking a QA Engineer to join their mission-critical initiative focused on transforming public safety with products like Fusus and Axon Respond.

This role is central to Axon's ambitious goal of reducing gun-related deaths between police and public by 50% in 10 years. You'll be working on systems that integrate data from various sources including cameras, drones, vehicles, and alarm systems to help first responders make better decisions in critical moments.

As a QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of these life-saving products. You'll work closely with the engineering team, participating in architecture and design reviews, product planning, and setting high standards for quality assurance. The role requires expertise in various testing methodologies and tools, with opportunities to grow in automation testing.

Responsibilities For QA Engineer - Real-Time Operations

  • Work with end-to-end feature development team and champion quality process
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases
  • Execute functional and exploratory testing with other engineers
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
  • Produce detailed reports documenting test results and process
  • Focus on delivering scalable solutions

Requirements For QA Engineer - Real-Time Operations

  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing
  • Experience in web and mobile applications, functional, API and exploratory testing
  • Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues in the US and UK
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Basic understanding of automation testing
  • Experience with Jira or another Agile project management tool
  • Experience with Mac/Linux/Unix
  • Knowledge of API testing tools
  • Knowledge of database querying and SQL
