This role offers full design ownership over next-generation life-saving technology, from conceptualization through production. You'll drive product development, lead ideation of new architectural concepts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving innovative product development from concept to manufacturing
- Constructing and analyzing high-fidelity proof-of-concept prototypes
- Performing detailed mechanical analysis using FEA, tolerance analysis, and testing
- Collaborating with domestic and international stakeholders
- Working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7-10+ years of product design experience in high-end consumer electronic products
- Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
- Experience in designing for high-level dust/water ingress protection
- Strong DFM/DFA skills and ability to balance conflicting design constraints
Axon offers competitive compensation, including base pay between $83,000 and $159,000 depending on location and experience, along with bonus and stock awards. - Drive innovative product development from conceptualization through manufacturing

Requirements For Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7-10+ years of product design experience in high-end consumer electronic products
- Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
- Knowledge in design of plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts
- Familiarity with adhesives and bonded joint design
- Experience designing for a high level of dust/water ingress protection
- Experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuit and other electro-mechanical integration
- Strong DFM/DFA skills
- Ability to interpret product requirements and translate into quantifiable engineering deliverables
- Experience preserving Industrial Design artistic intent in mechanical design implementation
- Effective communication and strong presentation skills
- Ability to balance and prioritize conflicting design constraints
- Collaboration skills in a cross-functional team culture
