Description For Senior Partner Engineer II

Axon is seeking a Senior Partner Engineer II to join their Platform Firmware team in a hybrid role that combines firmware engineering, release management, and technical project management. This position is crucial for scaling Axon's Firmware Infrastructure and managing Joint Development Manufacturers (JDM) for next-generation products. The role supports Axon's mission to reduce deaths between police and public by 50% in 10 years.

The position involves working with embedded Linux and Android systems, managing firmware artifacts, and ensuring high-quality deliverables from JDM vendors. You'll be responsible for two new IoT product lines, working closely with vendors in the Asia-Pacific region. The role requires extensive technical expertise in firmware development, strong project management skills, and the ability to bridge communication between internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities include managing vendor relations, code review, technical documentation, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience, strong technical background in embedded systems, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities For Senior Partner Engineer II

  • Manage Axon and JDM vendor relations between Firmware Engineering Teams
  • Review and audit schematics, source code and design documentation
  • Perform Engineering Verification and Profiling of JDM vendor Firmware Artifacts
  • Implement and sustain the Axon internal Firmware Release Calendar
  • Instrument Firmware Artifacts with metrics and develop monitoring Dashboards
  • Write technical documentation and status reports
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipeline
  • Write source code for program support and fixes
  • Review and contribute to Test Plans

Requirements For Senior Partner Engineer II

  • B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 12 years of experience taking products to GA
  • Fluency in Embedded Linux and Embedded Android platforms at BSP layers
  • Experience with C, C++, or Rust and ideally Python, Golang
  • Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular LTE or 5G, 900MHz wireless technologies
  • Experience with complex battery powered System-on-Chip (SoC) development
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Fluency in English with technical writing skills
  • Ability to collaborate in APAC time-zone hours
