Senior Privacy Engineer

Axon is seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to join their mission-driven team focused on protecting life through innovative safety and justice solutions. This role combines technical leadership with privacy engineering, requiring expertise in cloud services, system design, and privacy-enhancing technologies. The position offers the flexibility to work remotely while being based near one of Axon's R&D hubs in San Francisco, Seattle, Scottsdale, Atlanta, or Boston.

As a technical lead on the Privacy team, you'll architect and build software supporting Axon's privacy mission, working with cutting-edge privacy technologies and cloud services that demand high availability and consistent performance. The role involves making critical architectural decisions, mentoring other engineers, and collaborating closely with product managers and designers to develop innovative solutions for customer problems.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of software development experience, with deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and backend development in languages like Java, Scala, or Python. Experience with data privacy, anonymization tools, and building scalable systems is crucial.
