Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

Axon is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer II to join their mission of protecting life through innovative safety and justice solutions. This role is part of the APX SRE organization, where you'll be instrumental in delivering solutions for mission-critical cloud native services. The position requires a deep expertise in Kubernetes and cloud platforms, with a focus on building robust, scalable infrastructure and tooling that enables product teams to deliver innovative features.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience and strong technical capabilities in cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, various cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and programming languages like Python, Go, or Java. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing foundational platforms that allow engineering teams to provision services efficiently and securely. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic influence, as you'll be expected to champion best practices and educate the broader engineering organization on improved architectural patterns.

This is a remote position that offers competitive compensation ranging from $150,000 to $230,000, depending on location, plus comprehensive benefits including 401k matching, medical/dental/vision insurance, mental health support, and paid parental leave. The role requires US citizenship due to involvement with classified federal data.
