Senior Software Engineer - Core (Czechia)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team responsible for Azul Zulu builds of OpenJDK, one of the most popular OpenJDK builds globally. Our team also manages projects like Azul Mission Control (ZMC) and ZIUpdater, significantly impacting Java development and the entire Java community.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to the functionality, quality, and timely delivery of OpenJDK builds
• Design and implement new product features and enhancements
• Participate in OpenJDK development
• Provide technical expertise to field engineering and customer services

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong proficiency in C/C++
• Core Java understanding (a plus)
• Experience with scripting languages (sh/bash/ksh, powershell)
• Good understanding of operating system concepts
• Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools
• Solid understanding of Computer Science concepts
• Experience in low-level and system programming (a plus)
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows/macOS programming (Solaris is a plus)
• Experience with x86/Arm assembly (a plus)
• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent
