Azumo, an innovative software development firm based in San Francisco, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Fullstack JavaScript Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development. This remote position, based in Latin America, offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with bright engineering minds in SaaS and big data computing.

As a key engineer in the web team, you'll be working in the EST/PST time zone, enhancing the existing TypeScript and JavaScript codebase, architecting applications, and integrating with 3rd party APIs and services. You'll be responsible for designing the overall application framework, including component hierarchy, authentication, and error handling, as well as implementing the front-end build, deploy, and CI pipeline.

The ideal candidate should excel with minimal technical supervision, embrace time constraints, and work effectively with team members to deliver high-quality products and features. You should have a strong background in React, Node.js, and GraphQL, with at least 3 years of experience in each. Additional skills in backend development, RESTful web services, SQL and NoSQL databases, and automated testing are highly valued.

Responsibilities For Fullstack JavaScript Developer

  • Enhance existing Typescript and JavaScript code-base
  • Architect app and collaborate with the team to integrate with 3rd party APIs and services
  • Design the overall application framework, including component hierarchy, authentication, error handling, etc
  • Implement the front-end build, deploy and CI pipeline
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture

Requirements For Fullstack JavaScript Developer

  • 5+ years of experience in the field of software development
  • Solid experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
  • 3+ years experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and front-end coding skills
  • 3+ years experience in React and GraphQL each
  • Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python)
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience
  • Some experience with backend development (Java or Node.js)
  • Prior experience with building RESTful web services
  • Experience writing SQL and using NoSQL databases
  • Experience with automated testing (TDD, mocking, unit/functional/integration)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
