Senior Software Engineer, Shop

Babylist is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Shop engineering team. In this role, you'll help expand the Babylist eCommerce experience to more users, working with expert technical leads and software engineers to build key product research, feedback, and shopping experiences. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other teams to execute important initiatives.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Babylist, you will:

• Provide thought leadership on processes, tooling, systems, and software architecture
• Improve and maintain existing systems, focusing on reducing friction in the development process
• Work closely with product owners to design, implement, and deploy systems supporting user shopping experiences, research, recommendations, and personalization
• Mentor team members through design and architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Identify opportunities for new product initiatives based on your technical knowledge

The ideal candidate has:

• 6+ years of experience delivering end-to-end solutions that drive business growth
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Expertise in JavaScript, React, and Ruby on Rails
• Ability to deliver elegant, effective software solutions in a timely manner
• Clear, friendly, and open-minded communication skills
• Passion for making measurable improvements for customers and using data to drive growth
• Experience with enterprise consumer eCommerce

The estimated pay range for this role is $140,478.00 - $201,000.00, with additional equity, bonus, and benefits offered.
