Description For Senior Vulnerability Response Readiness Manager

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Response Readiness Manager to join their cybersecurity team. This role brings critical expertise in vulnerability scanning for both on-premises and Cloud deployments, with a special focus on high-severity vulnerabilities. The position spans across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific regions, requiring comprehensive oversight of daily monitoring and scan execution against critical CVEs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely detection and escalation of vulnerable instances, while providing early warning systems for newly published high-severity CVEs. This role demands strong partnership-building skills across organizational boundaries to address enterprise-wide security challenges.

As a Senior VRRM, you'll work in a dynamic environment where you'll be responsible for vulnerability lifecycle management, proactive analysis, and post-incident problem management. The role requires deep technical expertise combined with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and executive leadership.

Key technical requirements include extensive experience with vulnerability scanning solutions, system administration across various platforms, and familiarity with database technologies and web services. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in information security or technology engineering, with a strong background in vulnerability management and security operations.

Requirements For Senior Vulnerability Response Readiness Manager

Linux
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in information Security and/or Technology engineering
  • Hands-on experience with industry-leading vulnerability scanning solutions
  • Experience in endpoint system administration and engineering
  • Knowledge of Web services software and middleware frameworks
  • Experience with Database technologies
  • Proficiency with data analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Superior sense of urgency and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication Skills
  • BS or MS in Information technology/security preferred
  • Experience managing security practitioners
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and frameworks
