The role of General Engineer – Supply Chain Risk Management supports the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting research, design, development, and engineering activities for vehicle electronics
  2. Supporting Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) efforts
  3. Performing electrical design reviews and trade-space recommendations
  4. Conducting system integration and failure analysis
  5. Providing subject matter expertise on vehicle electronics and electrical systems
  6. Supporting development of performance requirements and systems engineering plans
  7. Collaborating on electrical and electronics testing
  8. Preparing and presenting technical materials

The ideal candidate will have a Secret Security Clearance, a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience), and ten years of relevant experience in areas such as ground vehicle systems, failure mode analysis, root cause analysis, systems engineering, and supply chain management.

Responsibilities For General Engineer – Supply Chain Risk Management

  • Conduct research, design, development, and engineering activities related to electronic systems on assigned vehicles
  • Support Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) efforts through engineering analysis, risk mitigation, and configuration management
  • Perform electrical design reviews, trade-space recommendations, and technology assessments
  • Conduct system integration, failure analysis, and design reviews for lifecycle cost reductions
  • Provide subject matter expertise on vehicle electronics and electrical systems, including reviews, evaluations, and technical input
  • Support the development of performance requirements, systems engineering plans, and milestone documentation
  • Collaborate on electrical and electronics testing, and manage communications with test sites
  • Prepare and present technical materials such as diagrams, PowerPoint charts, and metrics with appropriate classification designations

Requirements For General Engineer – Supply Chain Risk Management

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Industrial) OR ten years demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Ten years experience in multiple areas including: design, development, analysis, test, production, assembly and sustainment of parts or sub-systems for ground vehicles or weapon systems
  • Experience in Design and/or Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) and/or Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action planning
  • Experience in Systems Engineering as defined by the Department of Defense
  • Experience in obsolescence management and alternative part identification
  • Experience in supply chain management and/or supply chain risk management
  • Program Management skills (desired)
