Description For Industrial Engineer

Barbaricum is a rapidly growing government contractor focused on Defense and National Security missions. Founded in 2008, they provide support across Intelligence, Analytics, Engineering, Mission Support, and Communications disciplines. The company is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The role involves providing technical evaluations and cost estimates for equipment and facilities projects, conducting various analyses, monitoring project status, and supporting project management. Key responsibilities include performing cost estimating, conducting requirements analysis and risk assessments, monitoring project progress, reporting to Project Managers, identifying issues, and recommending solutions. The ideal candidate should have a Secret Security Clearance, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and at least ten years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing, facilities, or supply chain management within the DoD or Automotive Industries. Experience with tracked or wheeled ground combat vehicles is preferred. Responsibilities For Industrial Engineer

  • Perform cost estimating and evaluation for assigned projects
  • Conduct requirements analysis, risk assessments, and technology evaluations
  • Monitor and track day-to-day project status, including on-site walkthroughs and documentation of progress
  • Report project development and progress metrics to the assigned Project Manager (PM)
  • Identify and analyze equipment and facilities issues, providing recommendations for solutions
  • Participate in meetings to support the assigned PM in managing equipment and facilities projects

Requirements For Industrial Engineer

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum of ten years experience in production, manufacturing, facilities, or supply chain management within the DoD or Automotive Industries
  • Experience supporting the US Army or DoD is preferred
  • Experience working with/on tracked or wheeled ground combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity (preferred)
