Barbaricum is seeking an experienced Obsolescence Engineer to support the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). This role focuses on obsolescence identification, mitigation, and management for electrical systems in ground combat vehicles. The engineer will collaborate with program leadership, vehicle OEM contractors, and other stakeholders to address engineering challenges. Key responsibilities include tracking and mitigating obsolescence issues, coordinating program activities, providing assessments of OEM plans and designs, reviewing electrical design decisions, supporting development of technical documents, and monitoring obsolescence tracking databases. The ideal candidate will have a Secret Security Clearance, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or general Engineering from an ABET accredited program, and at least five years of experience in DoD or industry systems. Experience in ground combat systems throughout the acquisition lifecycle, knowledge of vehicle electronics, power management, data bus, and radio communications is required.
