Description For System Engineer

Barbaricum is a rapidly growing government contractor focused on Defense and National Security missions. With over 15 years of experience, they support federal customers across Intelligence, Analytics, Engineering, Mission Support, and Communications disciplines. The company is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). This role involves systems engineering analysis, risk management, and architecture development for hardware and software configurations. The ideal candidate will provide high-level engineering expertise, offer design recommendations, and deliver technical briefings. Key responsibilities include conducting requirements analysis, leading technical planning activities, developing system functional and performance requirements, creating architecture design models, and managing interface control documentation. The position requires a Secret Security Clearance, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience), and a minimum of seven years of experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, or test of DoD or automotive systems. Responsibilities For System Engineer

  • Conduct requirements analysis for Capability Production Document, Performance Specifications, Subsystem, and Component Specifications
  • Lead technical planning activities and systems engineering process development and execution
  • Develop system functional and performance requirements, including verification processes
  • Create architecture design models and artifacts for advanced concepts
  • Develop interface control documentation and ensure proper interface management
  • Prepare and deliver high-level briefings in response to requests for information
  • Provide systems engineering advice and feasibility assessments for new design concepts

Requirements For System Engineer

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering, Physical Science, or Computer Science
  • Minimum total of seven years' experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, or test of DoD or automotive component or systems
  • Minimum of five years' experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, and test of U.S. military ground vehicle systems
