Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Baseten is seeking a Software Engineer with an affinity towards infrastructure to help build and set the direction for upcoming versions of Baseten's cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial as it forms the backbone of Baseten's services, which customers rely on for building machine learning-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Kubernetes clusters in production settings
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and Knative
• Implement security, observability, and scalability measures
• Own projects end-to-end, including empathizing with users and managing feature execution

Required Skills:

• 3-10+ years of experience with languages like Python, Ruby, or Go
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with security, observability, SLA, and scalability implications
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and create simple, elegant solutions
• Strong project ownership and accountability

Tech Stack:

• Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Knative, Prometheus
• Backend: Golang, Python, Postgres, Redis
• Frontend: React, TypeScript, GraphQL
