Associate Data Engineer

The Associate Data Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver world-class big data solutions and drive impact for the dubizzle business. Key responsibilities include:

• Working on end-to-end data life cycle projects
• Building and working with both batch and real-time data processing pipelines
• Raw data integrations with primary and third-party systems
• Data warehouse modeling for operational and application data layers
• Development in Amazon Redshift cluster
• SQL development as part of agile team workflow
• ETL design and implementation in Matillion ETL
• Real-time data pipelines using serverless and managed AWS services
• Design and implementation of data products
• Ensuring data quality, system stability, security, and coding standards
• Building data dashboards and advanced visualizations in Periscope Data
• Collaborating with other departments on data products
• Contributing to a strong team culture and staying on the cutting edge of big data

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience working with customer-centric data at big data scale
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages, especially Python
• Strong track record in business intelligence solutions and data warehousing
• Experience with AWS data ecosystem and modern data visualization platforms
• World-class SQL skills across various relational data warehousing technologies
• Ability to communicate insights to non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Business acumen with an entrepreneurial spirit
