Analytics Engineer

As an Analytics Engineer at Beam, you'll work in a dynamic environment that spans insurance, employee benefits, and technology. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain the data warehouse, playing a crucial role in establishing a solid data foundation for this data-driven company.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with engineering, product, and analytics teams to improve data usability, quality, and reliability
• Collaborating with Data Engineers on the overall data platform development
• Driving the development and maintenance of the data warehouse
• Applying software engineering best practices to analytics processes
• Developing and maintaining data quality rules, documentation, and definitions

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Experience in data warehousing, preferably with AWS or GCP in a high-growth company
• Advanced SQL skills, including window functions
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language
• Experience with or knowledge of dbt, BI visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
• Familiarity with data pipeline platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch) and orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow)
