Responsibilities For Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing
- Perform thorough manual testing of applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and improve product quality
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
- Analyze automated test results and troubleshoot failures
- Assist in security testing efforts
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of testing processes
- Provide regular updates to the team and stakeholders on testing progress, coverage, and quality metrics
Requirements For Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in writing automation scripts
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Playwright and performance testing tools like JMeter
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and SQL for database validation
