As an early Engineering team member, you'll work directly with leadership, technology partners, and various engineers to develop technologies for autonomous geo-field construction. This role combines electrical engineering expertise with sustainable energy innovation, requiring both technical depth and collaborative skills.

You'll be responsible for the complete lifecycle of electrical and electronics systems, from design to deployment, working on both surface and subsurface technologies. This includes developing analog and digital circuitry, power systems, and communication infrastructure. You'll also contribute to field projects, technical documentation, and potential patent development.

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in electrical engineering, particularly in subsurface or construction machinery development. You'll help shape our engineering culture while contributing to crucial technological advancements in sustainable energy. Responsibilities For Electrical Engineer

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy electrical/electronics hardware and firmware for downhole tools and surface systems
  • Own the electrical design and development life-cycle
  • Collaborate with business development colleagues for field projects and data analysis
  • Diagnose, service, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical/electronics systems
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and operations engineers
  • Write technical papers and present at conferences
  • Support patent invention development
  • Document best practices and case histories

Requirements For Electrical Engineer

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Industry experience in subsurface or construction machinery development
  • PhD + 6 years experience, or MS + 8 years experience, or BS + 10 years experience
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional engineering environments
  • Passion for clean energy transition
