Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) - Freelance

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll join a world-class engineering team of 30+ professionals backed by Voodoo, working to scale BeReal into an iconic social network. The role offers unique technical challenges, handling millions of users connecting within 2-minute windows.

The technology stack includes GCP, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and GitHub actions for infrastructure, Go and Node.js for backend development, and modern databases like Spanner, PostgreSQL, and Redis. You'll work in small, autonomous teams of generalists, having significant input in product decisions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in API and distributed architecture, with strong Go programming skills. You should be self-motivated, comfortable in startup environments, and excellent at teamwork. A master's degree in computer science is required, along with English proficiency to work with our international team.
