They're seeking a Product Sustaining Electrical Engineer to join their hardware engineering team.
The role combines hardware expertise with cloud-based systems, focusing on both maintaining existing products and developing next-generation solutions. The ideal candidate will work with PCBA designs involving networking, sensing, and hardware interfacing. As a Product Sustaining Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting electrical failure investigations, collaborating with various teams, and managing product sustaining projects. The role requires expertise in circuit and PCB design, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to both immediate product improvements and long-term development goals.

Responsibilities For Sustaining Electrical Engineer
- Perform electrical failure investigations using root cause analysis techniques
- Work with Project Managers on status updates and communications
- Scope product sustaining projects and evaluate design options
- Collaborate with Quality, Product, and Manufacturing teams
- Provide electrical engineering support through product development lifecycle
- Develop circuit and PCB design revisions
- Generate electrical schematic and layout exports
- Develop best practices for reliability and quality
- Troubleshoot issues and execute changes to systems in production
Requirements For Sustaining Electrical Engineer
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or similar field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Experience in identifying and designing solutions with electrical and mechanical components
- Proficiency in ECAD tools (e.g. Altium Designer)
- Experience with signal acquisition/analysis tools
- Strong understanding of testing and failure analysis
- Hands on experience in PCB debug and validation
- Strong hands-on skills to build and test prototypes
- Familiarity with DFM and DFT
- Working knowledge in test firmware development and PLC programming is a plus
- Ability to take initiative in fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented approach to problem solving
- Ability to be in the office 3+ days per week
