Biffa Waste Services, a leading waste management company with over 11,500 employees, is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their innovative team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee electrical systems across Polymer locations while driving process improvements. The position involves managing installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and taking a leading role in Polymer Optical Sorting and Extrusion equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering qualifications and safety certifications, combined with expertise in CAD and project management. Responsibilities For Electrical Project Engineer

  • Manage and authorize all electrical supply designs, installations, and modifications across Polymer locations
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of periodic electrical inspections and testing
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives across Polymers function
  • Manage projects and associated budgets
  • Maintain engineering documents and site plans
  • Lead design and sourcing of Optical Sorting systems
  • Lead design and sourcing of Extrusion systems
  • Manage contract labour while maintaining health and safety standards

Requirements For Electrical Project Engineer

  • Engineering qualification with relevant experience
  • Certified in health and safety (IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD and project management software
  • Knowledge of recycling process equipment
