Responsibilities For Infrastructure Engineer

  • Maintain all elements of IT Infrastructure, supporting and optimising key functional areas, particularly server infrastructure and all local onsite infrastructure
  • Monitor IT service performance, availability and capacity
  • Ensure data centre capacity is measured and provide regular capacity reports and appropriate availability
  • Test and document disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Apply technical support concepts to deliver the highest standard of technical support
  • Support the review of system architecture and recommend improvements in line with Service Delivery
  • Provide day to day consultation, training, instruction, troubleshooting and problem solving to the IT Department

Requirements For Infrastructure Engineer

Linux
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of all Biffa business plans
  • Knowledge necessary to propose relevant IT responses to changing business and project risks
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure design and support
  • Linux and Windows administration and support skills
  • Experience of Enterprise anti-virus and Cloud technologies
