Description For Data & Analytics Engineer

BigID is seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer passionate about data engineering, automation, and business intelligence. This role supports business decision-making through developing scalable data pipelines, creating data visualizations, and implementing reporting infrastructure using Snowflake, Tableau, and Python. The ideal candidate is self-driven, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining data flows and pipelines using Python-powered notebooks in Databricks on AWS
  • Building and maintaining data in Snowflake with Tableau visualizations
  • Developing Snowflake notebooks using Python, APIs, and SQL for ETL pipelines
  • Translating business requirements into specifications for data marts, reports, and dashboards
  • Managing JIRA tickets and focusing on automation and simplification of reporting processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or related fields
  • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and AWS S3
  • Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce.com, and other GTM tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities For Data & Analytics Engineer

  • Maintain data flows and pipelines leveraging Python-powered notebooks in Databricks, hosted on AWS
  • Source, build, and maintain data stored in Snowflake and overlaying visualizations using Tableau
  • Develop Snowflake notebooks leveraging Python, knowledge of APIs, and SQL to build ETL pipelines and database tables/views
  • Translate business requirements into specifications for data marts, reports, and dashboards
  • Assess stakeholder needs, develop strategic roadmap, and update regularly
  • Manage, maintain, and organize JIRA tickets
  • Gather and work with disparate data sources to produce insightful analyses and visuals
  • Review analysis and visuals, provide insights and recommendations to decision-makers
  • Focus on automation and simplification of reporting and BI processes

Requirements For Data & Analytics Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, economics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, statistics, data engineering, data science, or related field
  • Experience writing SQL queries, procedures, and database operations in Snowflake
  • Knowledge of Tableau dashboard creation and Tableau Online administration
  • Administration of Snowflake and operational knowledge of AWS S3
  • G-Suite experience preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce.com data model, reports, and dashboard creation strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function and prioritize well in a high-paced, remote environment
