Senior Cloud Security Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at BigID, you'll be a key member of the security team, responsible for enhancing the security posture of the cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve managing misconfigurations, developing access control mechanisms, designing services and platforms, implementing infrastructure as code, establishing monitoring frameworks, architecting security guardrails, developing infrastructure templates, managing container security, creating security products, implementing cloud security protocols, handling incident escalation, collaborating on secure cloud architecture, managing security tooling, maintaining documentation and policies, and driving security automation excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Addressing cloud misconfigurations
• Developing advanced access mechanisms
• Designing and maintaining services and platforms
• Driving infrastructure as code practices
• Establishing comprehensive monitoring frameworks
• Implementing security guardrails
• Developing "gold" image templates using Terraform
• Managing container security tools and incidents
• Innovating security products and automation solutions
• Designing cloud security protocols
• Serving as primary escalation point for security incidents
• Collaborating on secure cloud architecture solutions
• Managing security-centric tooling
• Maintaining documentation and policies
• Developing advanced security automation workflows

Required skills and experience:

• Experience with modern programming languages (Python, Java, Go)
• Deep expertise in major cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Cloud service architecture and security concepts
• Kubernetes and container security
• Building tools and services using Golang or Python
• Securing and hardening Linux containers/hosts
• Clear and scalable design documentation
