The role combines hardware and firmware development, requiring expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, and low-power optimization. You'll work on the full development lifecycle of wearable medical devices, from concept to production, implementing communication protocols and ensuring compliance with medical device standards.

Responsibilities For Electrical/Firmware Engineer

  • Design and develop schematics and PCB layouts for wearable medical devices
  • Component selection and sourcing, considering power consumption and constraints
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers on electronics integration
  • Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers
  • Implement communication protocols for data transfer and connectivity
  • Develop drivers for sensors and peripherals
  • Optimize firmware for low power consumption
  • Perform board bring-up activities and debugging
  • Develop and execute test plans
  • Support end-to-end development lifecycle
  • Maintain documentation for QMS and Medical Device regulations

Requirements For Electrical/Firmware Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical and firmware development for embedded systems
  • Experience in designing and developing wearable devices
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, Eagle)
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems
  • Experience with communication protocols (Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, I2C/SPI)
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Experience with medical device regulations and standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
