Responsibilities For Sr. Embedded Algorithms Engineer

  • Research novel methods for vital sign signal extraction using high frequency sensor data
  • Work with product team to define algorithm requirements and test metrics
  • Iterate rapidly to develop algorithm prototypes and communicate performance tradeoffs
  • Port algorithms to C/C++ and optimize computations to meet processor and power constraints
  • Develop test protocols for data collection team
  • Perform QA to ensure the product meets the requirements
  • Develop and maintain internal signal evaluation tools
  • Assist in designing and conducting studies to evaluate new hardware/firmware prototypes

Requirements For Sr. Embedded Algorithms Engineer

Python
  • PhD or MS in EE, CS, or related engineering field
  • 5+ years experience in signal processing methods and algorithm design
  • Experience with pre-processing and analyzing large time-series datasets
  • Experience in embedded C/C++, especially in resource constrained systems
  • Experience with embedded microcontrollers, such as ARM Cortex M0/M4
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a startup environment
