Description For Backend Software Engineer - Fiat Team

BitGo is revolutionizing the digital asset infrastructure space as the leading provider of custody, wallet, staking, trading, and settlement services. Founded in 2013, we've established ourselves as the operational backbone of the digital economy, processing a significant portion of Bitcoin network transactions. We're seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our Fiat team in Palo Alto.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of crypto on- and off-ramps, working to expand BitGo's fiat currency support internationally. You'll be part of a team dedicated to creating robust, secure, and compliant fiat infrastructure that bridges traditional finance with digital assets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of traditional banking and cryptocurrency, helping to build the next generation of financial infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings strong backend development experience, particularly in RESTful API design and microservices architecture. You'll be working with modern technologies including Elixir, Phoenix, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, and Node.js. Your work will directly impact how traditional finance integrates with cryptocurrency, making this an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about both technical excellence and financial innovation.

Working from our Palo Alto office, you'll be part of a collaborative environment that values craftsmanship, ownership, and open communication. We offer competitive compensation ($150,000-$180,000 base salary), comprehensive benefits, and the chance to be part of a team that's transforming the global financial markets.
