BitGo, the leader in digital asset financial services, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team in Downtown Toronto. As a key player in the cryptocurrency industry, BitGo processes approximately 20% of all global Bitcoin transactions and supports over 1,000 coins and tokens.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with design and product managers to develop new UIs, improve existing functionality, and build reusable code. You'll be working on high-impact projects, as BitGo's integrated platforms interact with numerous exchanges, agencies, and governments worldwide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and improving UI functionality across various products
- Building reusable code and improving codebase health
- Cross-team communication to understand implementation requirements
- Providing mentorship through code reviews and best practices education
- Maintaining and enhancing performance of existing applications
Required skills:
- 5+ years of frontend software engineering experience
- Strong experience with React
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, Node.js, and Express
- Familiarity with design systems and various testing methodologies

Responsibilities For Senior Frontend Engineer
- Collaborate closely with design and product managers to plan and develop new UIs for upcoming initiatives
- Improve existing UI functionality on a variety of products
- Build reusable code for future use
- Codebase health improvements
- Cross team communications with stakeholders to understand implementation requirements and limitations
- Provide mentorship to peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices
- Provide maintenance support and enhance performance to existing applications
Requirements For Senior Frontend Engineer
- At least 5 years of frontend software engineering experience
- Strong experience with React
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience working with Node.js and Express applications
- Experience working with design systems
- Experience with unit, Integration and end-to-end testing
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
