Senior DevOps Engineer

Bixal is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in managing and maintaining a moderately complex Drupal application. This role focuses on ensuring reliability and security while supporting developers through modern agile and DevOps best practices. The ideal candidate will work on automating processes, implementing continuous integration, and utilizing open-source tools. The application must adhere to FISMA and NIST guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and supporting build pipelines using task runners like Gitlab, Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, and Travis CI
• Developing and maintaining container images for web applications
• Implementing production and testing infrastructure using infrastructure as code
• Troubleshooting complex cloud infrastructure and application issues
• Ensuring security best practices and compliance with federal, PCI, and FEDRamp standards
• Supporting container orchestration in various federal datacenters
• Improving legacy VM-based pipelines and deployments

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced experience in cloud computing, Linux operating systems, and containerization technologies
• Expertise in DevOps tools, infrastructure as code, and web application stacks
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and virtualization principles
• Experience with monitoring tools, identity management, and testing frameworks
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
