Azure Platform Engineer

We're seeking Azure expert platform engineers to join our delivery teams on exciting digital programmes. As a platform engineer, you'll design, build, and maintain delivery infrastructure, systems, and processes. You'll work in small product teams alongside developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to deliver automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Commercial experience with Azure cloud environments
• Expertise in containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM Templates, Helm, Pulumi)
• Proficiency in pipeline build/deploy tools (Azure DevOps, TFS, Jenkins)
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, AZ CLI, Python, Bash, Ruby, Groovy)
• Knowledge of configuration management technologies (DSC, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, Ansible)
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, etc.)
• Understanding of cloud platform design patterns and best practices
• Knowledge of database and caching technologies (Azure SQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, etc.)
• Some knowledge of modern web application programming languages
• Experience with agile methodologies
