BKF Engineers is seeking a passionate and inquisitive Design Engineer to join their team in Sacramento, California. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects in land development. As a civil engineering Design Engineer at BKF, you will be responsible for project design for site development, grading and drainage plans, utility systems for water and sewer, report preparation and master planning studies, preparation of specifications and cost estimates. Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use, roadway, and public works projects.
BKF offers a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $97,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly. Responsibilities For Design Engineer
- Project Design for Site Development
- Grading and Drainage Plans
- Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
- Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies

- Work on Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use, Roadway, and Public Works projects
Requirements For Design Engineer
- 0 - 3 years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works
- B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
- EIT or FE certification preferred
- Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus
