Design Engineer

BKF Engineers is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team in a hybrid work environment. This role is part of the Transportation department and is a full-time position based in Newport Beach, California, United States.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities and experience in transportation project design. They will work with a team of engineers on both small and large projects. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is considered a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing geometric calculations and plotting (cross-sections, profiles, etc.)
• Conducting routine hydraulics calculations
• Executing site grading calculations and plotting
• Utilizing computer and CAD systems
• Conducting research and data collection from public agencies

Qualifications for this position include:

• 0-3 years of experience in site development, and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent
• EIT/FE certification preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous

BKF Engineers offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $77,000 - $97,500 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
