Design Engineer

BKF Engineers is seeking a Design Engineer to join their Pleasanton office. The ideal candidate will apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their education, experience, and judgment. The role involves providing assistance to Project Engineers and Project Managers in preparing defined elements of project designs, collaborating with and supporting a team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others on specific assignments. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is considered a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Drainage Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
• Preparation of specifications and cost estimates
• Working on projects including Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use, Roadway, Highway, and Public Works

The ideal candidate should have:

• 0-3 years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works
• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent
• EIT/FE certification (preferred)
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (a plus)
• Strong communication skills
