The role involves applying standard engineering techniques, planning and coordinating detailed phases of technical work, and assisting senior engineers and project managers. Key responsibilities include project design for site development, grading and drainage plans, utility systems for water and sewer, report preparation, master planning studies, roadway design, and working on residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public works projects. Responsibilities For Project Engineer
- Project Design for Site Development
- Grading and Drainage Plans
- Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
- Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
- Preparation of specifications and cost estimates
- Roadway/Street final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections
- Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
- Federal, State, City and County Standards
- Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies
- Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates
- Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects
Requirements For Project Engineer
- 3+ years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways
- B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
- Professional Engineering license in the State of California is preferred
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery required
