BlaBlaCar, the world's leading community-based travel app, is seeking a Confirmed Android Engineer to join their Post-booking full-stack squad. With a team of 800 employees across 5 global offices representing over 50 nationalities, BlaBlaCar serves 27 million members annually in 21 countries.
The role focuses on building and optimizing post-booking features that enhance passenger experience, from real-time bus tracking to ticket exchange functionality. As part of a collaborative full-stack squad of 6 engineers, supported by a Product Manager and UX Designer, you'll also join the Android chapter comprising 11 engineers dedicated to BlaBlaCar's mobile application.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of Android development experience, with expertise in MVVM architecture, RESTful APIs, and Kotlin. You'll be empowered to impact all phases of the project lifecycle, from conception to roll-out, while working in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.

Responsibilities For Confirmed Android Engineer - Post Booking
- Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to help shape the features that land in production
- Design, architect and develop Post-Booking features for the BlaBlaCar application
- Be responsible for the quality of the Android application, and contribute to improving it
- Share your knowledge in the team: provide documentation on work, enforce good practices and processes, communicate on changes
- Conduct code reviews
Requirements For Confirmed Android Engineer - Post Booking
- 3+ years experience building Android apps with a strong engineering culture
- Experience with MVVM architecture and clean architecture
- Experience working on RESTful API, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, Kotlin coroutines, unit and integration tests
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong product focus
- Good communication skills and ability to adapt communication to non-technical stakeholders
- Team player willing to improve team's ways of working
- Ability to embrace change and focus on added-value tasks
- Results-driven and product-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English
