As a PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) Process Engineer at Blackline Safety, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and optimization of PCBA manufacturing processes. This full-time position in the Operations and Manufacturing Engineering department involves implementing and improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize PCBA manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to PCBA processes, equipment, and materials.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Work closely with the engineering team during the introduction of new PCBA products and provide input on design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of PCBA processes and train production staff on new or updated processes.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for PCBA processes.
- Equipment Management: Monitor and maintain PCBA manufacturing equipment and evaluate new technology investments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams, as well as suppliers.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in PCBA process engineering or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of PCBA processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
