Responsibilities For Communications Engineer

  • Develop and release design documentation for satellite systems and ground station solutions
  • Define and perform tests for satellite communication system hardware and new features
  • Develop and execute test programs to qualify new hardware and ensure space-ground segment compatibility
  • Interface with vendors to facilitate hardware installation and operational support
  • Support regulatory filings and analysis for system compliance
  • Support operational team with ground station and communications issue analysis
  • Support ground station design, test and deployment
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams and represent communications team
  • Manage competing priorities and individual tasks

Requirements For Communications Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum of three years technical experience in space operations environment
  • Understanding of communication systems theories and techniques
  • Experience with hands-on testing of RF hardware
  • Ability to develop design documentation
  • Strong team and inter-team cooperation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Must be a US Citizen
